Fruit of the Vine Food Shelf, located in Burnsville, MN, is the largest single-location food shelf operating in the state. Each month, they serve over 1,600 area families in need. This amounted to a staggering 1 million pounds of food distributed in 2011!

The United States Post Office recently conducted its annual “Stamp Out” Hunger food drive, where letter carriers at the Burnsville and Apple Valley Post Offices collected an estimated 40,000 pounds of food on their routes, which in turn made its way to Fruit of the Vine for distribution. Allstate Peterbilt Group was pleased to donate a trailer that was used in the food collection effort and will be utilized for the next eight weeks for storage as the food is disbursed. With 1 in 10 people at risk of going without a meal today, there is a constant need for donations.
