The 2018 version of the Model 579 will add to this reputation even more with a new EPIQ package. Model 579 EPIQ Package<\/h3>\n

The 2018 Model 579 EPIQ package will help improve the fuel economy of the truck by eight percent. The Model 579 EPIQ is available with either the PACCAR MX-13 or MX-11 engines, which each already deliver impressive fuel economy ratings. These two engines are also paired with the Fuller Advantage automated transmission. This transmission helps the engines produce a wide range of horsepower and torque ratings.<\/p>\n

Both PACCAR engines reduce weight by around 50 pounds. This helps decrease the amount of service needed, and increases engine efficiency.<\/p>\n

Predictive Cruise Control utilizes the truck\u2019s onboard maps along with information from the GPS to help save fuel economy when going up and down hills.
