2017 PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 Engine Performance Ratings
2017 brought with it upgrades to two of the top engines in the PACCAR lineup; the PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines. Several upgrades have led to increased performance ratings.
The PACCAR MX-13 and MX-11 engines are designed to deliver optimum performance, durability, fuel economy, and the lowest total cost of ownership for our customers.” – Landon Sproull, PACCAR vice president.
PACCAR Engines Horsepower and Torque
The output of the PACCAR MX-11 engine has been increased to 430 horsepower and 1,650 pound-feet of torque, with the lower end power rated at 335 horsepower and 1,150 pound-feet of torque. The new PACCAR MX-13 engine now checks in at 510 horsepower and 1,850 pound-feet of torque. Both engines deliver peak torque at 900 RPM.
PACCAR’s lineup of engines are designed to be rugged and durable. Both MX engines have been designed to offer an industry-leading B10 life of one million miles. 90 percent of the engines PACCAR builds are expected to reach one million miles before needing a major overhaul.
The MX engines offer several features that are designed to improve performance and fuel economy. The 2017 MX-11 and MX-13 offer a new new single cylinder air compressor, variable displacement oil pump. and variable speed coolant pump. These features help improve fuel economy over previous models.

Factory-installed remote diagnostics
Oil and fuel filter change intervals of 60,000 to 75,000 miles
